🧩Genesis Points Event
FAQ about the event
1.What can I do with the points? Can I exchange them for tokens?
If you're in the top 10,000 on the leaderboard, you get access to the Testnet.
7.5% of the total tokens will be mined on the Testnet.
Even if you don't make it into the Testnet, you might still get some tokens based on your points. Keep an eye on the official website and Twitter for the latest details.
Points will also come in handy for team events and treasure boxes.
2.What factors influence the points you earn?
Your GPU power is the biggest factor. The more powerful your GPUs and the more of them you have, the more points you'll rack up for staying online and completing tasks.
Daily task points are higher than online points.
The number of CPU cores and amount of memory will give you a small bonus to your points.
3.Can CPUs, memories, and GPUs mine points?
Points are mainly obtained through GPUs.
CPU cores and memory size have a small impact on your points.
4.What models of GPUs are compatible?
NVIDIA cards are all supported, but the 30 series and above will get you more points.
AMD cards are all good too, but due to driver differences, it's best to update to the latest version of drivers. Check out the AMD driver signature link for more info.
Apple's M-series chips are fully supported, with the latest M-series earning more points (split into online points and task points). Non-M-series devices only get online duration rewards, no task rewards.
Intel and AMD integrated graphics are supported but will earn very few points. Dedicated graphics cards are recommended.
5.Which wallets are supported?
Only MetaMask is supported for now, but more wallet types will be supported later.
6.Why I connected but my points aren't increasing?
Points are divided into task points and connection duration points.
Connection duration points are calculated every 30 minutes. If it's been less than 30 minutes, your points won't show up yet. Check your points on the official website.
Task points are awarded when you complete randomly assigned tasks. You can only earn task reward points by finishing these tasks. Check the official website for more info.
7.What does "required resources missing" mean?
For Mac: Drag the icon into the Applications folder, then open it. Double-clicking directly won't work properly.
For Windows and Linux: You need to install the corresponding GPU drivers. Check out the tutorial link for guidance.
8.What does "API error" mean?
It's a network issue.
For Mac, you need to grant network permissions.
For Windows, check if you have a proxy enabled and double-check your network settings.
9.What does "Conflicts with the running DEKUBE client" mean when I only have one client open?
This happens if you logged in with address A, exited the client, then reopened it and logged in with address B.
Solution: Wait 3 minutes or longer, then log in again.
10.Why don't I have any tasks?
For non-M-series Apple devices, there are no task rewards, only online duration rewards.
For Windows and Linux, tasks are randomly assigned within 3 hours, and you must be online to receive them.
11.My antivirus software detected a DEKUBE virus.
It's normal for Windows OS's built-in antivirus to flag the client. The client won't read any sensitive local information. Third-party antivirus software may give false positives.
12.Why did my task fail with the error "ERROR: The task is failed"?
It could be because your device is running other software that interfered with the task computation.
Your driver version may be too old, especially for AMD GPUs.
You might not have the corresponding GPU drivers installed.
13.Does the client use the GPU while it's running?
The GPU is only used when processing tasks, not when idling. You'll still earn points for idling.
Tasks are assigned intermittent, so you need to keep the client online.
14.Has the token economic model been released?
Detailed token distribution rules will be announced on the official website and Twitter later. Please stay tuned.
15.In the client, should I select "All video controllers"?
It's selected by default. It's recommended to select all GPUs under the device. The more GPUs, the more extra points you'll get.
16.Can one key bind to multiple clients?
Yes, one key can bind to multiple clients. You can view the corresponding GPUs on the official website under "Your Points".
Only one client can be run on a device. Using VM techniques on the same device may result in failed tasks and the risk of account suspension for violating rules.
17.Why the top-ranked users earn so many points in a day?
The more GPUs and the higher their power, the more points you earn. Multi-card devices get extra point bonuses.
Inviting other GPUs to join can also earn points rewards.
FAQ about the event of Team up
1.Why hasn’t my treasure box count increased after inviting friends to join DEKUBE?
The users you invite must connect to the DEKUBE client and complete a task, with their GPUs successfully certified as effective, before you can receive the corresponding treasure box count for the invitation reward.
2.If I have 1 GPU and invite no one, does it mean I can only open one treasure box?
For each milestone, the number of treasure boxes you can open equals your effective GPUs plus the effective GPUs of your direct invites. The maximum number of treasure boxes varies by milestone, as specified in the event rules.
3. If I have 10 GPUs and invite 5 friends who collectively have 20 effective GPUs, how many treasure boxes can I open?
The number of treasure boxes depends on the number of effective GPUs, not the number of friends. Therefore, it would be "10 + 20 = 30" or the maximum number for that milestone, whichever is smaller. For example, for milestone 1, you can open 5; for milestone 2, you can open 20; for milestones 3-5, you can open 30.
4.My team’s GPU count is not increasing. Can I join another friend’s team?
No, once you join a team, you cannot change teams.
5.If my team has already reached some milestones when I join, can I immediately open the achieved milestone treasure boxes?
No, at the time the milestone is reached, only the members who were already in the team can open the treasure boxes. New members can only participate in future milestones and win treasure box opportunities.
6.If I continue inviting friends to join the team, can I participate in the subsequent milestone rewards?
Yes, for milestones not yet reached at the time of joining, you can participate and upon achieving them, you can open the corresponding number of treasure boxes.
7.When reaching a milestone, is it guaranteed to win a reward from opening treasure boxes?
Yes, there is always a reward, no empty boxes. However, the amount is random.
8.What determines the amount of the reward?
The amount of the reward is random and depends on luck. On average, rewards from milestone 5 are greater than from milestone 4, and so on. The later milestone boxes have higher minimum and maximum rewards.
9.What are the five milestones and the corresponding treasure boxes?
10.Who gets the treasure when a milestone is reached?
All users with effective GPUs and users who have invited effective GPUs can open treasure boxes. The number of treasure boxes depends on the detailed rules.
11.What’s the maximum number of members for a team? Minimum?
The minimum number is 1, i.e., just yourself. There is no upper limit on the maximum number.
